a miscellaneous cacophony of work
things that did not fit neatly into the portfolio category for one reason or another
I've had the sincere pleasure of working with the Humane Society of the United States doing work on outreach campaigns, quarterly and annual reports, and educational materials.
My most recent project with them involved designing Matt Prescott's TEDx slides in which he argues against the environmental inefficiencies of a meat-based diet in favor of a vegan diet.
For this project, I read through Matt's script and worked with him to create graphics and slides that enhanced his message wand provided segues during his presentation. Many of the photos were found on UnSplash, a great resource for editorial images with no copyright restrictions.
One of the messages in Matt's talk is the massive amount of water used in the production of just one breakfast sandwich. To illustrate this, I cooked and photographed the components in a (vegan) breakfast sandwich in four layers, breaking down the data for each ingredient [see minute 1:26].
