Sharp Stuff with Wieden+Kennedy

Our goal at Sharp Stuff was to test out a new publishing model; to tinker with a decades old process and see what we could learn. We set out to use print-on-demand technology, ebook publishing, and emerging social media platforms to pose the question; does it have to be done the same old way?

Our books found a home in untraditional places around the world and we connected with our readers in unconventional ways. We made art posters that were printed and distributed through our social networks, animated gifs featuring quotes from the book posted to Tumblr, excerpts on Medium, and graphic quotes on Pinterest. We were interviewed on NPR and had our book featured in Powell's window. We were rethinking publishing and it was fun!
